Dr Gill Barham talks Vitality with TOM

Meeting Gill and reading her book, “The Heart of a Woman” has been life changing for me. I am definitely one of those people guilty of burning the candle at both ends, and in the middle at the same time.

Gill’s approach to vitality is quite refreshing as she doesn’t buy-in to fad diets and focusing on symptoms of ill health. Instead, its all about living a healthy life by creating good habits, like nutrition. I have certainly become aware of my current state of wellbeing and Gill has great advice on improving it.

She is an expert when it comes to the truth about food, beating cravings and managing weight without dieting. She understands how your hormones affect you, getting better sleep, and having more energy and mental clarity. Not surprising though as she has been a nurse and is a broadcast presenter and advocate for mental and social health prevention.

“Being superwoman, trying to be perfect, is too high a bar to set for ourselves and those around us that are watching and following our every move.

Stress, whether perceived or unperceived is the major cause of mental and physical decline, and so until we know how to manage this, we will see rising levels of disease.”
